Anna's story

I am Anna. I am from Morocco, and Reus is my town now. People keep asking me where to go here, so I wrote it down.

Sativa is where I go myself. It is a private club, not a shop. You do not walk in from the street. You ask first, you bring your ID, and the club decides. I like that, because it keeps the room calm.

Inside it feels like a living room that somebody looks after. A bar, soft booths, a pool table, board games. Every evening has its own thing: painting on Monday, English on Wednesday, poker on Friday. You can come alone and you will not sit alone.

The rest of this page is my short list: where to find CBD, the estanco that never closes, and a few clubs along the coast if you travel. Nobody paid to be on it.

Sativa, her place

Sativa is a private members club on Carrer Salvador Dalí in Reus. Inside there is a proper bar, soft booths for the nights you would rather just talk, high tables under the clock for quiet afternoons, a full size pool table, a big screen and a shelf of board games.

Something happens every day of the week: painting on Monday, PlayStation on Tuesday, English conversation on Wednesday, table games on Thursday, poker and the network party on Friday, a film and darts on Saturday, a slow afternoon and billiards on Sunday.

  • The club decides who becomes a member.
  • Open every day, 13:00 to 22:00.
